Black Friday Concert to help victims of PTSD!
MOLLY HATCHET BLACK FRIDAY CONCERT
On November 24, 2017 which is also Black Friday, Molly Hatchet will headline a show in Daytona to help raise funds.  The funds being raised are for the wonderful not for profit organization Waves to Recovery. Waves to Recovery use the ocean as a therapeutic technique.   Water has always been considered a healing tool.  Waves to Recovery put it to use. First of all, Molly Hatchet will be rocking bike week in Daytona in support of this organization.  Most of all the “Flirtin With Disaster” Band is known for pitching in. Southern Rocker Bobby Ingram looks forward to rocking the stage in Daytona on Black Friday. Big Engine is opening for Molly Hatchet.

About Waves to Recovery



Waves to Recovery provide no-cost therapeutic counseling to anyone with a diagnosis of PTSD. Part of that therapy involves water therapy.  That includes surfing, boating, whale watching, fishing, running on the sand.  Most importantly it involves relaxing and wave watching. The soothing power of wave watching has been demonstrated as an aid in stress relief.

Especially relevant are that any traumatic event, not only combat, but hazardous work conducted by first responder’s can lay the groundwork for PTSD. Domestic violence and rape victims and other violent crimes victims are susceptible to PTSD affecting them. Furthermore, even traffic accidents can trigger PTSD.  Finally, any type of traumatic event where the person has lost all control can result in PTSD.

Waves to Recovery Confidential Services

Waves to Recovery offers free and confidential services to those affected by PTSD.  The therapy comprises of a three-pronged approach to recovery.
  1. Individual psychotherapy;
  2. Individual physical therapy;
  3. Family therapy.
As a result the family therapy helps to educate the family members about PTSD triggers. It allows for a better understanding.  It also allows for a safe environment to discuss issues caused within the family by the patient’s condition. Group therapy is offered on the beach.
